Talk:gratitude

The definition given ("the state of being grateful") is sloppy--it uses a very closely related word, same root, without any other explanation. In essence, one needs to already know what the concept is in order to understand this definition. In my opinion, the definition in Wikipedia is much better: "a positive emotion or attitude in acknowledgement of a benefit that one has received or will receive". I would go one step further and change this definition to: "a positive emotion or attitude in acknowledgement of a benefit that one has received or will receive, or that one believes one has received or will receive". [For clarity, perhaps the last "one" could be replaced by "s/he" or "(s)he"...?]
