Does this word have another sense??? See its use at trunnion, where the European fish sense seems very out of place!

Pronunciation

Why are there two sections for RP? Also, can anyone back up the /ˈɡʌjən/ pronunciation? At first blush that smacks of transcription by someone with tenuous command of IPA; it certainly doesn't seem like a normal RP pron, if indeed it has any currency at all. @Sgconlaw, do you have some further insight into this pronunciation? -Coreydragon (talk) 22:29, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

@Coreydragon: The duplication of the RP is a typo. As for the second GA pronunciation, something similar is given by Lexico. Perhaps it represents one pronunciation used in parts of the US? — SGconlaw (talk) 00:46, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
