I think calling guinea pigs "small rodents" is wrong. They are small animals, but as far as rodents go, they are larger than most.

I've taken the word "small" out for now. --Erik Stewart 14:10, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Translations from Wikispecies[edit]

Sense of company director, etc.[edit]

Hotten's Slang Dictionary (1873) has a slightly different take on this:

Guinea pigs, habitual directors of public companies; special jurymen; and engineer officers doing civil duty at the War Office, and paid a guinea per diem.
