Etymology

@Octahedron80, are you sure that this word comes from *χɯnᶜ? The tone and initial of the Zhuang word don't seem to expected if it is from *χɯnᶜ. — justin(r)leung _{{ (t...) | c=› }} 22:41, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

I checked back. Proto-Tai paper does not mention any Zhuang word for example. But there are so many Yay readings (AKA Bouyei) in it. Yay is NT close to Zhuang. It states hɯnC1 for Yay, so I think only Zhuang hwnj is valid for that. However, should the "alternative forms" have same etymology as the main word? I don't know either. Sometimes, POS could be possible to be different between altforms. To play safe, let's unconnect between hwnj and gwnj/gwnz. --Octahedron80 (talk) 00:23, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
