Talk:házikacsa
@Adam78 I'd like to standardize the entries for házi kacsa vs. házikacsa, házi tyúk vs. házityúk, házi mozi vs. házimozi, etc. Current wording:
- házi kacsa - Has an alternative form section: házikacsa (nonstandard but fairly common).
- házikacsa - Alternative spelling of házi kacsa. Is it nonstandard or alternative?
- házikacsák - Misspelling of házi kacsák, see házi kacsa. Is it misspelling or alternative?
- házinyúl - Superseded spelling of házi nyúl. No mention of házinyúl at házi nyúl.
- házimacska - Superseded spelling of házi macska. No mention of házimacska at házi macska.
If házikacsa is an alternative spelling, how can házikacsák be a misspelling? And if something is an alternative spelling, it deserves a full entry with declenions, etc. What are your thoughts? Panda10 (talk) 17:21, 26 September 2021 (UTC)
You're right about its inconsistency. On a second thought, "alternative spelling" was a mistake on my behalf; it should be reserved for cases when Magyar helyesírási szótár actually allows both forms, like e-mail and ímél. - @Adam78 Not sure. Google returns a lot of hits when I search for "házinyulak", not to mention the old dictionaries which contain házinyúl. So it could be superseded, and I think the declension should be provided for the superseded entry because at least if someone is searching for an old inflected spelling, they would find it and be pointed to the correct spelling.
