Noun?[edit]

i thought hoke was a noun ? — This comment was unsigned.

The verb has more evidence and seems older. Not too many other dictionaries think it's a word. Could you give me an example of its use in a sentence that conveys its meaning as you have heard it? DCDuring TALK 22:59, 21 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

why not the past tense of hike...[edit]

Don't you native speakers ever feel the need to use this form as the simple past of hike? Like that of ride or drive: hike, hoke, hicken or even huck (like snuck). Like "Have you ever huck here before? Yes indeed, I just hoke there yesterday!" Adam78 (talk) 14:55, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
