Does anyone know how I can check my IPA pronunciation or where I can find more on the subject? Ta --Kylemew 22:25, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

It doesn't look quite right: the aren't any accents which use both /r/ AND /ɹ/. Where are you from? Widsith 21:39, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Other than that, it matches the pronunciation given in the original OED (although they didn't use IPA then).
Scratch that; you've got the primary and secondary stress reversed. It should be /ˌɪntəɹˈkrʊərəl/ rather than /ˈɪntəɹˌkrʊərəl/. I've made the change. --EncycloPetey 21:43, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Er...well no, at least not in the UK. Here you wouldn't pronounce that first R, so it would be /ɪntəˈkɹʊəɹəl/, which is what the OED in fact has. Widsith 21:51, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
The original OED has that first R in there, so my comment was correct, even if the OED wasn't ;) But yes, I wouldn't expect that first R to be present in a UK pronunciation.--EncycloPetey 21:54, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
