Etymology

Is it right to say: Cognate of köz (“gap”)? My dictionary just says it's Finno-Ugric. But I presume has the same root as köz. Qorilla 19:01, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

It does seem that they have the same ancient root. But the description of etymology in my dictionary is just too difficult for me to translate. --Panda10 21:47, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
