@84.161.47.237 Just fyi, indeed neither 'Dirn' nor 'Birn' are Low German. The Low German word 'Beer' is used in the poem whenever it's not supposed to rhyme with /dɪrn/, which is High German (Low German phonotactics prohibit /ɪr/) and whose Havel form would be /deːrn/ or /diːrn/.
