Lees differs from dregs[edit]
Dregs usually connotes the undesirable remainder or unfit part of something. Lees are indeed discarded by most wine drinkers, yet grape wine lees are the principal raw material (other than water) of modern balsamic vinegar manufacturing. Wayne Roberson, Austin, Texas 14:54, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
