Rfv-quote: There's a quote here that only seems to be found in Wiktionary and its mirrors. A fake??? Roger the Rodger (talk) 18:50, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

EEBO gives us "As plesaunt to the ere as the blacke sanctus Of a sad sorte vpon a mery pyn". ([1] is a more distant but probably stable link.) A comparyson bytwene. iiij. byrdes, the larke, the nyghtyngale, ye thrusshe [and] the cuko, for theyr syngynge who shuld be chauntoure of the quere Saltwood, Robert. [Canterbury: Printed by John Mychell, 1533-34?] No page numbers. Seems legit, just obscure and less than clearly cited.--Prosfilaes (talk) 09:18, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
