Napkin[edit]

I deleted sense 2 which was "sanitary pad" and given as UK usage. There seems to be a myth that in England "napkin" doesn't mean a material used at the table during a meal, and that it means a sanitary pad. "Napkin" has the same meaning "a material used at the table during a meal" in the UK as in the US. Some people feel napkin is preferable to serviette, which is a class issue. As for sense 3, I am not sure of it either. Pistachio 22:34, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Also, it can mean a sanitary pad if you use the full name sanitary napkin. Pistachio 22:52, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
