natalis or *natal?[edit]

In Whitaker’s Words, the nominative singular word listed for “birthday” is “natal”, not “natalis”; is this an error in Wiktionary? — This unsigned comment was added by CannedMan (talkcontribs) at 13:17, 17 August 2012‎ (UTC).[reply]

@CannedMan: I’ve checked six Latin dictionaries, and they all give nātālis m for the sense “birthday”. The proposed *nātal doesn’t appear anywhere, although there does exist Nātal n, the name of a mime by Decimus Laberius. — I.S.M.E.T.A. 17:49, 2 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
