Talk:octa-

This is a mess. Could we consolidate all the various spellings and examples under one heading, either one of {oct-,octa-,octo-} or under something neutral like "oct-, octa-, octo-"? I realize there have been reasons not to do this for {color,colour} and similar, but these may not apply here. The three variants are universal, not restricted to a region, and as far as I know translingual. That is, I don't know of any language that gives a different meaning to, say, oct- considered as a prefix. -dmh 14:17, 23 Sep 2004 (UTC)
