Is Finnish 'paitsi' as 'except' a preposition or postposition? which case is it used with?

Ie, would "Except for the cat" be "paitsi kissan" "paitsi kissa" "kissaa paitsi", etc?

This information is currently missing from a lot of Finnish adverb entries.
