In French, panisse is a pancake or pastry made from chickpea flour and popular in the southern and Mediterranean areas.[1][2] I believe that this is the meaning to which the name of the noted Chez Panisse restaurant in Berkley, California refers. Dick Kimball (talk) 16:22, 8 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
