Teletubbies[edit]

Honestly I suspect the Teletubbies invented this word, and that the sense of "fart" is no more than a childish joke based on the fact that the Teletubbies' "parp" bell is in their bottom. In a children's book "Teletubbies enjoy bumping bellies and bottoms" was illustrated with "jingle jingle" on the first page and "parp" on the second. 3centsoap (talk) 19:55, 29 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Nah, it's much older. Farting is supposed to be like parping (a horn) because of the sound it makes. Equinox 18:34, 8 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the reply. If I ever get a one to one audience with the creators of the Teletubbies I'll just ask this question and then leave. Soap (talk) 05:32, 2 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
