Rfv-sense: "Any organic material rich in proteid molecules considered a dietary source of essential amino acids." --Is this obsolete like the other definitions? Or just another definition for "protein"? --Hekaheka (talk) 06:29, 22 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

It looks for complicated than that and more than our definition as well. See this, taken from Webster 1913. DCDuring TALK 11:04, 22 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
Also see Douglas Harper (2001–2024) “protein”, in Online Etymology Dictionary.. DCDuring TALK 11:08, 22 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
To me this boils down to one definition instead of current three: proteid is an obsolete term for protein. --Hekaheka (talk) 20:02, 22 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

I regard the RFV as "failed". --Hekaheka (talk) 22:27, 19 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
