I'm sorry, I can't agree that "ratu" is a Sanskrit derivation. Ratu is a Javanese word which means a monarch who rules a country. This word obviously has an Austronesian root as it has a similar meaning in another language in Austronesian family, Fijian. "Ratu" in Fijian is a chief nobility title for male monarchs. In Javanese it is a genderless term, but when Bahasa Indonesia adopt the word, it's usually used to address female monarch. The editor is obviously doesn't know anything about Indonesian language as he/she thinks that we call one of queen of the chess piece as "ratu", when in truth we call it "menteri". I think there should be more investigation on other Indonesian words also labeled as Sanskrit derivations of the same editor, because it really needs verifications.Jiwa Matahari 07:53, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
