Etymology[edit]

Only since 1817 has "reoccur" been floating around among the permissives, who regard preliminary rules and standards as "prescriptions" worthy of scorn, and who commend themselves as "descriptionists."

Witness the widespread contamination at Wikipedia too, by the peremptory prance of some of those there with Barnstars up the butt.
