Can't find anything non-French or non-dictionary MooreDoor (talk) 12:11, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- Most of the uses I find are part of a longer phrase such as à rouet or rouet d'arquebus. Those few that stand alone use italics or scare quotes, which we normally take to mean code-switching. However, I can find many uses of à rouet that use neither scare quotes nor italics, so I think we should move the entry to that phrase. (I also found and added another meaning for rouet that uses neither scare quotes nor italics, – a clipping of rouet volant, although rouet volant is universally in italics. Given that the French texts do not seem to clip this phrase, I believe that rouet can be considered an English-only term for what was originally a borrowed phrase.)
