I see no evidence for the definitions given. At best save by the bell is eye-dialect or a misconstruction of the common idiom saved by the bell. DCDuring TALK 16:42, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I suppose I could have taken this to WT:RFM. We apparently didn't have saved by the bell. The citations in the entry are all for saved by the bell, so all that would be required is a little rewording of the otherwise good definitions.
OK, saved by the bell has now been modified by the original creator in the manner recommended above by DCDuring. · (talk) 06:22, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure that the attestable save by the bell is worth even an eye-dialect/misconstruction/mispelling entry. DCDuring TALK 16:52, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Although, save by the bell may sometimes be a misconstruction of saved by the bell, it is also sometimes used in a properly constructed, fully grammatical way, and attestations which satisfy WT:CFI have now been added to this entry by the original creator. · (talk) 06:22, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good. Verified. DCDuring TALK 07:55, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
