The sky blue colour swatch does not match its description: it is much too dark and greyish for the sky on a fine day. Why not use the Microsoft .NET value for SkyBlue, which is R:135 G:206 B:235 ? 86.140.69.121 19:03, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- The shade of sky-blue currently shown in the entry though is not typical. The blue of the sky is usually a richer blue than the almost turquoise shade of sky-blue shown in the entry. In the skies over Los Angeles for example you do often see that turquoise-like shade of sky-blue, but more often the sky is of a rich blue, azure-like. Alex 15:59, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
- Sky blue is a specific color, not just the color of any sky that is blue, like a dark blue sky before nightfall. A bit like burnt orange, not any orange that is burnt. Mglovesfun (talk) 16:02, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

- Yeah I realized that, I guess I was more protesting how this shade has become "sky-blue". That is pretty much the standard color value for "sky-blue" and the Wiktionary shows that standard shade, as do for example crayola crayons when they produce sky-blue crayons---although the crayola shade is not as turquoise as the value shown here ;) When I think of "blue like the sky" though, I think of the more azure-like value that I usually see at midday over L.A. The Wiktionary entry is correct though as far as standard usage, although even there the shade shown is a bit on the turquoise side. Alex 16:10, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
