Origin of stonk[edit]

22/10/22 According to recent feedback in The Times the term stonk originated in the Royal Artillery during WWII and is a contraction of "standard concentration", which is some measure of an artillery line. Whether or not this is true several correspondents attested to its use in the 1940s to mean an artillery bombardment.
