what about being an adjective? webster's 3rd international says stop motion is a noun that does emergency stops; while stop-motion is an adjective synonymous with time-lapse.Wikipaddn (talk) 17:40, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It could be argued that this is attributive use of the noun: "tractor parts" doesn't make "tractor" an adjective, etc. If we did have an adjective it would just recapitulate the existing noun definition relating to an animation style. Equinox 17:45, 13 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
