Talk:sublimate

I could use some expert help here. The definition avalible in Google’s free Dictionary: states “Sublimate” “To divert the energy associated with (an unacceptable impulse or drive) into a personally and socially acceptable activity”.

Wiktionary’s defination Line 3 under verb: (transitive), (psychoanalysis). “To modify the natural expression of a sexual or primitive instinct in a socially acceptable manner; to divert the energy of such an instinct into some acceptable activity”

Some acceptable activity is to vague, the word exchange where some replaces socially is not acceptable, because it‘s making a claim on an opinion not creditable to definition.Kisida 16:57, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
