Verb

Suicide is regularly used as a verb in casual speech... I would say this deserves mention. I'm not very experienced with using Wiktionary though so I thought I'd mention it here to see if there are any objections or rules to be followed. 203.59.6.72 14:08, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Quite so. We need the verb POS. And the forms are quite common: suicided, suicides, suiciding. Is fairly easy to find serious medical literature using these as well, not just casual speech. Robert Ullmann 14:16, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Garner reads on SUICIDE,

A. And self-killing; self-murder; self-slaughter; felo-de-se. The five terms are generally synonymous, though self-murder/-slaughter are charged with extremely negative connotations. Suicide and self-killing are broad terms that include every instance in which a person intentionally causes his or her own death. Suicide used to be included within the definition of homicide (which refers not to a crime but to the killing of a person, whether lawful or unlawful.) Felo-de-se is a euphemism either for a person who commits, or for the act of, suicide. See -cide.

B. In the early 18th century, suicide took on the secondary sense of “someone who dies by his or her own hand.” Earlier synonyms, now less frequently employed, include self-destroyer, self-killer, self-murderer, self-slayer, and felo-de-se.

C. The verb has been used intransitively, reflexively and redundantly , and transitively and ridiculously . But all these verb uses sound trendy and semiliterate.
