Noun[edit]

Isn't the noun sense only takeup? --Connel MacKenzie 03:37, 9 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

I would think so, but Google seems to show mostly "take up" and "take-up" with fewer "takeup" instances. The plural is rare but usually "take-ups". I'm not sure what to do with this one. Rod (A. Smith) 03:02, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Doesn't take up also mean start to use sth like a new technology or method?--80.235.71.26 16:37, 21 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Google gives 617 answers to "take up a new technology", but I don't have English as the first language, so I'd still wait for more competent opinions.--80.235.71.26 16:40, 21 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
This is the same as sense 1. To take up knitting. I believe. - Algrif 19:04, 7 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
