Is this word obsolete?[edit]

I had to spell this word in a spelling bee. The only citations of it I have found in books are in books published in the late 19th century. I had never heard of the word before my spelling bee, and I misspelled it. So, I was wondering - is this word obsolete or is it still used in the modern day? Apparently not very much use after the 1800s. I'll put "archaic" on it; "obsolete" would be a bit older than that. Equinox 14:16, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
