Webster 1913 suggests that this can also be an English word for a sheep's fleece. I can't seem to attest it. Equinox ◑ 00:19, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
- OED has it under the obsolete form toyson, used as short for toison d'or (the order of knighthood), and citations:
