The evidence provided (on the talk page for some reason) is weak, and only one cite supports a verb. I can find various uses on GBooks but the intended meaning is not always apparent. Usenet (Google Groups) is hard to search due to references to the music festival and the song. If anything it may be a noun, as in "doing the wango tango".
