Impolite[edit]
Wouldn't it be better to ask "Do you have the time, please?", or "Excuse me, could you tell me the time please?" Pistachio 15:49, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

According to Chambers 1908, "what time" can mean "at the very time when". This must be an obsolete construct I haven't encountered. Equinox ◑ 17:25, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
