Quotation[edit]

Isn't this a quotation rather than an idiom? Mglovesfun (talk) 15:21, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not really. I've been using it all my life, and only recently found it was attributed to George Bernard Shaw. It's idiomatic in the sense that it has a distinct meaning not guessable from its parts.--Dmol 18:05, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
