Note to visitors from Wikipedia
Although {{fact}} redirects here, please note that this template is not used the same way, and does not have the same meaning, as Wikipedia's fact template. This template is used to flag dubious senses, as explained below, q.v. For dubious etymologies, add {{rfv-etymology}} to the entry's "Etymology" section and add a section to WT:ES. If any other part of an entry is dubious (e.g. a usage note), bring it up in the Tea Room.

Usage

If an entry contains a sense that you don't think actually exists (per Wiktionary:Criteria for inclusion), you can insert this template right before the sense, on the same line, after the initial #.

For example, you might change this:

# An [[impossible]] event.

to this:

# {{rfv-sense}} An [[impossible]] event.

which produces this:

  1. (Can we verify(+) this sense?) An impossible event.

Please be sure to create a corresponding section at Wiktionary:Requests for verification next, using the little superscript plus-sign link. Please see the top section of that page before adding this template to an entry and listing the entry on that page.
