Characters with oxia[edit]

@Canonicalization: In response to your edit summary, the reason why the DGE link in Διόφιλος (Dióphilos) isn't working is because there are two characters that look like ό (ó), U+03CC GREEK SMALL LETTER OMICRON WITH TONOS (from the Greek and Coptic block) and U+1F79 GREEK SMALL LETTER OMICRON WITH OXIA (from the Greek Extended block), and MediaWiki uses the former, while the DGE website seems only to accept the latter. This is bad behavior; the two are supposed to be treated as equivalent, since all Unicode normalizations convert letters with oxia to letters with tonos. (Wikitext is normalized in the NFC normalization.) Puzzlingly, of all the letters with tonos, only U+30CC GREEK SMALL LETTER OMICRON WITH TONOS is rejected; ἀάατος, ἀβακτέω, ἀατήρ, ἀαίνω, ἀατύλον, ἀαρών all work, but ἀασιφόρος doesn't. I can fix the template until the DGE folks get their ducks in a row. [Edit: Done.] — Eru·tuon 19:05, 22 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
