Vowel lengths of case endings[edit]

@JohnC5, ObsequiousNewt Am I correct in inferring that the upsila in the nominative, accusative, and vocative singulars and the iota in the dative plural are all short? — I.S.M.E.T.A. 06:59, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@I'm so meta even this acronym On a scale from 1 to A+, the answer is yes. —JohnC5 07:17, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@JohnC5: I thought so. Thanks. — I.S.M.E.T.A. 07:24, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@I'm so meta even this acronym As for this edit, I've often wondered whether something like this (I'm not a huge fan of this exact work around) should be done. @ObsequiousNewt What do you think? — This unsigned comment was added by JohnC5 (talkcontribs) at 08:10, 15 April 2015.
Well, as it was, the dative plural in πῆχῠς linked to πήχεσι(ν), which is obviously an invalid entry title. I'm not really bothered how we do this, but whatever method we use, we should link to the forms both with and without the terminal nu. — I.S.M.E.T.A. 08:34, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I like the idea. However, I am currently working (albeit slowly) on Luaïzing declension, so I'd leave off messing with the templates until we get this mess sorted out. ObsequiousNewt (εἴρηκα|πεποίηκα) 13:21, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Tangent Time! I feel like if I needed to verbify the word Lua, I would have done so with an epenthetic c (viz. Luacize), but I understand that “a consonant saved is a diaeresis earned.” —JohnC5 19:25, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
