@Suzukaze-c Template now supports 1= for language. Benwing2 (talk) 03:37, 3 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Scene[edit]

Can we add support for the |scene= parameter, similarly to w:Template:cite video game? Many game cutscenes can't neatly be considered part of one level or another. Glades12 (talk) 13:37, 9 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Glades12: OK.  Done. — SGconlaw (talk) 14:01, 7 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

"quotee"[edit]

There should be a "character" parameter, for the character in the game whom we're quoting.

The example in the header uses "quotee" for "Felix", a character in Kindergarten 2 who I guess is the one being quoted, but in the parameters table, the "quotee" is someone the authors are quoting, and if you cite the game's writers as its "authors", it's hard to read "quoting" as anything else.

The Halo 3 example in the body uses bold to denote the character being quoted, even though bold is reserved for the word we're attesting to with the quote. — This unsigned comment was added by Wikiuser4815162342 (talkcontribs) at 12:33, 19 March 2024 (UTC).Reply

I'd consider the game's writers to be the 'authors' and the quotee to be the 'character'. The documentation just needs to be updated, methinks. — SURJECTION / T / C / L / 12:47, 19 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
"Hideo Kojima, quoting Guy Fakename" unless you know Guy Fakename is a character in the game, there is only one way to read this, which is that he's... quoting Guy Fakename. I added a quote with "note=spoken by [character name] ([voice actor])" and that looks good to me. "voice actor" and "character" could be parameters.
