This index lists ASL signs that begin with the dominant hand making the “1” handshape.

Although the index finger is usually fully extended, when "1" is produced in certain orientations and locations, the base joint is typically flexed (1^o-f) for ease of production so that the index finger is perpendicular to the palm, making it look similar to the "G" handshape.
