vas[edit]

Please look again at Lewis & Short. There is an entry for vas, followed by an entry for vās. These are two different words. --EncycloPetey 00:50, 7 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have just checked the index for Allen & Greenogh's New Latin Grammar. They list both vas and vās as well; vide sxn 79 & 103. --EncycloPetey 00:53, 7 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Correct. vās, vāsis is long. vas, vadis is short.

I've split the etymologies and have added pronunciation information, to help make this clearer for future editors. --EncycloPetey 01:23, 7 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
