Ah, I see. You meant frequency (pitch, sound) and not frequency (rate, occurrence). Then, yes, there is a definition missing. The word frequency without additional context is ambiguous, and that was what confused me. No, I think you were right to add the definition as a separate one. It isn't the same thing as any of the other definitions. However, I can't think of a clear way to express what is meant by a "high" pitch or "high" frequency (optics, acoustics) without resorting to the word "high".
