Interwiki links[edit]

While there are no reasons users can't add interwiki links, there are several bots to do the job, and since you're a new editor, the admins have to patrol your edits. I think your time would be much better spent doing other tasks, we have lots of them to do. Mglovesfun (talk) 12:45, 3 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

To be honest, I'm an editor of simple English projects, and I really want my focus to be them. Thanks for inviting me, but I must decline your offer to work here. Maybe later. From my understanding of interwiki links, one has to be placed for the bots to pick it up. The only reason I'm adding them is because the bots have not yet updated the links on the Simple wiktionary pages on new pages and various older pages. As soon as I place the link here, the bot seems to register the pages existence, and makes the edit on simple wiktionary. I will refrain from adding the interwiki links here for a few days, while I continue to create pages on simple to see if I'm correct, or mistaken there. If the bots continue to not pick it up, I will resume adding the links. Coming from small projects, I really understand how having to review these edits may strain your resources. Is there an autopatrolled flag I can get, or a time line I need to wait out to remove the need to review my interwiki edits? Thanks.--Gordonrox24 22:24, 3 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
