WT:AFR does say "Forms added by the 1990 reform of French spelling are given as alternative forms where they are not used much." To the best of my knowledge, abimer is a good example where the recommended form abimer isn't used as much as the traditional form abîmer. I remember being told off at university for using gout instead of goût. Mglovesfun (talk) 20:25, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
