Godefroy dictionary as a reference[edit]

Just to let you know that the {{R:Godefroy}} dictionary, whilst brilliant, doesn't list words when they have the same meaning as in Modern French. For instance desous and desus aren't in there, presumably because the reader can guess that they mean dessous and dessus. It would be like defining prison in a Middle English dictionary to mean prison. That sometimes leaves me in a bit of a whole. PS they're adding the Godefroy to the French Wikisource, but with 20 000 pages, good luck to them. Mglovesfun (talk) 16:02, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
