From Javanese ꦲꦩ꧀ꦥ꧀ꦭꦺꦴꦏꦤ꧀ (amplokan), ꦲꦩ꧀ꦥ꧀ꦭꦺꦴꦏ꧀ (amplok, “to cling with arms and legs”).
