Alternative forms[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Apparently from Old Irish do·éccai, but with difficulties regarding the second consonant.
However, a compound derivative of this verb, con·fécha (“to scrutinize”), is apparently attested in Old Irish within the Milan glosses as the imperfect form com·fechinn.
