English[edit]

Noun[edit]

homœopathism (uncountable)

  1. Obsolete form of homeopathism.
    • 1904, Samuel Hahnemann, Organon of the Art of Healing[1], page 31:
At other times, by gently acting upon the local disease (perhaps yet recent), by a kind of improper, superficial homœopathism, he would thus drive away from its site that local symptom, set up by nature on the skin for the relief of the inner more dangerous evil; but he thereby increased the latter, and induced the vital powers to institute a more serious metaschematism towards other and more vital parts.
