The word klám is considered to be related to the Norwegian word klåmen (moist, glutinous, adhesive). Compare the Greek words gláme (gláme), glámon (glámon), glamyrós (glamyrós) and the Lithuanian word glemes. The word klám is also connected to the Low German word klam.[1]
