English[edit]

Noun[edit]

leukhæmia

  1. Alternative spelling of leukemia
    • 1884, Sidney Coupland, “Anæmia and Allied Conditions”, in The Year‐Book of Treatment for 1884, page 84:
In a brief appendix he details a few cases of leukhæmia, in two of which very notable improvements followed the use of arsenic for a time ; and the examinations of the blood seemed to show that this was due to the arsenic operating harmfully on the white corpuscles.
