Old English[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Folk etymology of eofolsian, see there for more. By surface analysis yfel +‎ -sian, but this derivation does not adequately explain the meaning. Compare yfelsacian, which may have undergone a similar reanalysis.

Pronunciation[edit]

Verb[edit]
