Etymology[edit]
Learned borrowing from Katharevousa ἀερολιμήν (aerolimḗn) with Standard Modern Greek αερο- (aero-, “air-”) + λιμένας (liménas, “port”) < λιμήν (limḗn). Calque of French aéroport.[1][2]
